Air Oil Separator (Separators) Filters are the most important part of the filtration system in the compressor. Working Principles; The compressed air coming from the compressor screw carries countless oil droplets. While large oil droplets are separated as soon as they enter the tank, those smaller than 1 micron in diameter are held in the air. These oil droplets held in the air collide with the air flow as they pass through the Separator and merge to form larger droplets (see: coalescing). When these oil droplets reach a size that cannot be held in the air, they filter down to the bottom of the separator along the filtration medium fibers and are sent back to the compressor screw through a cleaning pipe. This separation process minimizes oil consumption in compressors and oil content in the compressed air network.
As KS Filter, our long-life separators are produced in 3 types according to the purpose of use and capacity requirements.
While conventional winding air oil separators are made by wrapping a certain amount of borosilicate glass fiber on the supporting tube, KS Filter Separators are produced by wrapping 3 different borosilicate filtration materials. This allows our separators to reach almost 2-3 times more capacity compared to conventional types.
Filtration material is used as Pleated instead of Wrapping. Since Pleated material has more surface area, product capacity is also high.

Designed for easy replacement, these types of Separators provide an advantage with their small size and allow for serial line connection. In this way, it is possible to increase capacity by using serial units.
